Our company at a glance
European Life Technologies Hungary Zrt. connects genetic tumour testing with clinical decision support. Our diagnostic solutions developed in-house, our laboratory in Szeged and our genosmart DX digital platform form an integrated workflow from test ordering to the clinical report.
Building on our available tests and ongoing research and development, we are working to expand our portfolio and strengthen our international presence. Our aim is to bring the expertise and technology developed in Hungary to wider use in precision oncology.

The foundations we build on
- Technology developed in-house
- genosmart DX supports the diagnostic workflow, while the genoAId bioinformatics platform supports genomic data processing. Together, they provide a shared technological foundation for our tests, research projects and further development.
- Our own laboratory operations
- We carry out sample processing and next-generation sequencing in-house at our laboratory in Szeged. Integrating laboratory work, bioinformatics analysis and expert interpretation supports our activities from development through to diagnostic services.
- Expertise across disciplines
- Our team brings together molecular biologists, physician researchers, bioinformaticians and software developers. Nearly two decades of NGS experience are complemented by decades of healthcare IT expertise, giving us an understanding of diagnostic challenges from laboratory, medical and data-processing perspectives.
- Academic and clinical collaborations
- Our development work involves collaborations with institutions including the Biological Research Centre in Szeged, HCEMM, Semmelweis University, and the University of Szeged and its Department of Oncotherapy. These collaborations connect our research programmes with clinical questions and practical applications.
The next steps in our development
Our next steps build on broader use of our existing diagnostic solutions, the development of new tests and the expansion of our international collaborations.
Indonesia is one focus of our international development. There, we are working with healthcare and scientific partners to prepare for local use of liquid biopsy diagnostics. Through these collaborations, we are aligning our diagnostic expertise and digital platform with local healthcare needs.
Milestones in our development
2017The start of market-oriented product development
Development of our liquid biopsy solutions began through collaboration between European industry investors and Hungarian companies. A HUF 1.5 billion European Union grant supported the establishment of our research and development infrastructure.
2023A company limited by shares and a digital platform
We became a company limited by shares and launched the genosmart DX platform. Our diagnostic workflow gained a unified digital foundation, while our organisational structure was prepared to welcome additional investors.
2025New investors and international development
With additional investors joining, our equity exceeded HUF 4 billion. We continued to develop our presence in Indonesia through healthcare and scientific collaborations.
