Where our research is heading

Our diagnostics move forward along four lines: from monitoring treatment towards early detection, from a single marker towards reading markers together, from sampling in the laboratory towards a sample that fits an ordinary day, and from data towards the clinical decision. Our new tests come out of these directions. From monitoring to early detection: the Monitor family tracks the molecular changes of a known tumour during treatment, and the Alarm family turns the same liquid biopsy foundation the other way, towards signalling a tumour's presence at an early stage, starting with breast cancer. From one marker to markers read together: alongside circulating tumour DNA we are bringing in new signal sources, such as platelet-bound RNA markers, and in urine-based tests the joint evaluation of several markers instead of a single gene fusion. A sample that fits an ordinary day: blood and urine, gentle, and where possible collected at home. From data to decision: every new test is built on the same platform, and genosmart DX keeps the processing, analysis and clinical interpretation of sequencing data in one auditable workflow. Our developments run in academic and clinical collaborations.

genosmart DX is a bioinformatics and genomics platform that can be used in clinical diagnostic environments as well as for research purposes. It was designed to handle large-volume, parallel sequencing data. The system implements the processing of sequencing data, the automation of analysis workflows, and the clinical interpretation of results in a unified, scalable technological environment.
BC-MonitorAvailable service
A blood plasma-based (ctDNA) liquid biopsy service developed for breast tumors, designed to track the molecular profile of the tumor over time. Molecular changes measured across serial samples can provide supplementary information for following the therapeutic response and the course of the disease, and can help with the early identification of resistance mutations, often before clinical or radiological progression.

BC-Alarm is the blood-based, multimodal liquid biopsy we are developing beside BC-Monitor, for the detection of early-stage breast cancer. Where BC-Monitor tracks the molecular profile of a known tumour during treatment, BC-Alarm aims to signal a tumour's presence early: in addition to circulating tumour DNA (cfDNA) it examines platelet-bound RNA markers, and the result is built on the joint evaluation of the two signal sources. Development is under way; market entry is planned for 2027.

PC-Alarm Ultimate advances urine-based prostate cancer risk assessment with a multimarker approach. Sampling is again a simple urine sample, without prostate massage. Development is under way; market entry is planned for 2027.
