BC-Alarm

BC-Alarm is the blood-based, multimodal liquid biopsy we are developing beside BC-Monitor, for the detection of early-stage breast cancer. Where BC-Monitor tracks the molecular profile of a known tumour during treatment, BC-Alarm aims to signal a tumour's presence early: in addition to circulating tumour DNA (cfDNA) it examines platelet-bound RNA markers, and the result is built on the joint evaluation of the two signal sources. Development is under way; market entry is planned for 2027.

Our new tests come out of these directions. From one marker to markers read together: alongside circulating tumour DNA we are bringing in new signal sources, such as platelet-bound RNA markers, and in urine-based tests the joint evaluation of several markers instead of a single gene fusion. A sample that fits an ordinary day: blood and urine, gentle, and where possible collected at home.
